Shiela F. Livera was first assisted by DTI Cotabato Province last 2016 during the first run of the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program as the owner of SJC Food Products. Their products include coffee, banana chips, coco sap vinegar, honey.
The assistance of DTI on SJC Food Products has helped develop their products and improve their business. Among the assistance provided were packaging enhancement and labeling improvement seminars, advertising, as well as the importance of publicity seminars, basic category management, and inventory management seminars, FDA guidelines and food safety regulation seminars, money market encounters, among others.
SJC Food Products was also able to become part of the annual trade fairs that DTI is conducting, allowing their products to reach wider markets. This resulted in increased sales and sustained the operations of their business despite the challenges brought by the pandemic.
