Success Story: Daily Grace Enterprise

Daily Grace Enterprise

Ms. Falconite was forced to resign from her employment as a Senior Laboratory Supervisor in Marikina City since her family was relocated to another city in the Visayas due to her husband's tedious work. As a stay-at-home mother of two small kids, she was motivated to augment her husband’s income and started selling home-cooked meals to nearby neighbors such as siomai, and other Filipino food which led her to create her own signature homemade chili garlic sauce.

Having observed that her chili sauce was a hit in the local market, she decided to settle in General Santos City to formally establish her chili sauce business. She registered her business in 2015, attended DTI-led seminars which helped develop her brand and improve her product, Dandoms Chili Garlic Sauce. It helped her reach wider markets, attract more buyers, and establish a separate and bigger processing area to cater to bulk orders. She also secured accreditation from FDA allowing her to penetrate local groceries and increase sales by 25%.

However, the pandemic and border lockdowns badly affected the business. The steady supply of fresh chilies, packaging materials, and other supplies was disrupted, affecting production and sales. Still, despite the additional cost in production and decreased sales, Ms. Falconite kept the prices affordable and maintained the product's quality in order to continually satisfy the customers and continue running the business.

On the other hand, the pandemic opened a new opportunity for her—selling products online. She created social media accounts for her business and opened online payment platforms. She also recently launched their own website, Dandoms.com after having been capacitated by DTI and Negosyo Center General Santos through various digitalization programs.

As a result, the business enterprise established institutional buyers from Japan, US, Tagaytay, Cavite, and Iloilo. She learned that with an open mind, there are endless possibilities that can be made and developed to become efficient and productive without having to go out of our respective homes and be exposed to CoVid infection.
