KMME Success Story: KXC Enterprises

KXC Enterprises

An idea will forever remain an idea unless it is developed into action. Glazel Capa, the owner of KXC Enterprises, knows this. That is why when she and her husband wanted to start their business idea, she wanted to make sure she was taking the right path.

The business idea of Chitton Seafood Chicharon was only a requirement in one of Glazel's graduate studies courses. Chiton Seafood Chicharon reminds Glazel of her childhood. This was one of her favorites. However, she knew that having this as her favorite and thinking
of the start of their business will not be enough.

Glazel also understood that starting a business will be as difficult as keeping everything afloat. That is why she thought of asking for help. She went to the Department of Trade and Industry for assistance.

DTI was always guiding Glazel and their business. For marketing to operations, KXC Enterprises learned from DTI's training and seminars, then later on through the Kapatid Mentor Me Program.

When she was chosen to be part of the Kapatid Mentor Me Program, it opened more doors for her to explore. She said, "It opens for me to grow as a person, as an entrepreneur and as well as a door of opportunity for linkages na makakatulong mag-improve pa para sa aming negosyo."

Through the trade fairs that DTI introduced to KXC Enterprises, they were able to expand their market. They also learned how to look for potential markets that could increase their sales.

In terms of business operations, the lessons shared during the KMME program was a big help to Glazel, "After ng KMME I realized na kailangan talaga 'yong specific duties and responsibilities ay malinaw, kung sino talagang magfofocus dito para sa operation, para dito sa department na 'to though kaunti pa lang ang tao namin."

KMME led Glazel intro realizing a lot of things, including the value of their product, "Na-realize ko na hindi lang ito business, this will be a legacy na pwede kong ipamana, pwede naming ipamana... naming mag-asawa sa aming mga anak."

Without KMME, Glazel believes that their business will not reach the success that they are enjoying today. However, they are still continuing to improve their products - something that KMME taught them.

Aside from the value of their product, they also learned the value of themselves. Something they never thought they would have achieved if they did not put into action the idea that they had in mind.
