4Ps Graduates Trained on How to Start a Business
BAMBAN, TARLAC – In partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Bamban, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Tarlac Provincial Office, through the Negosyo Center Bamban, conducted an entrepreneurship seminar for the 18 graduates of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
This was held during their graduation ceremony dubbed as “Pugay Tagumpay para sa mga Sambahayang 4Ps.”
“We hope that this activity will encourage the participants to consider going into business to sustain their needs and become financially independent,” OIC Provincial Director Florencia Balilo said.
The learning event aimed to educate the beneficiaries on entrepreneurship. Business Counselor Luis Casupanan focused his discussion on the characteristics of an entrepreneur, the rewards and risks of entrepreneurship, business types, and determining product lines or services.
According to Honeybee Guevarra, one of the participants, this widened their perspective and look into the possibility of becoming entrepreneurs to earn a living.
“Since we have graduated from the 4Ps program of DSWD, this is a big help for us to open our minds to the idea of earning through business opportunities so that we will no longer experience difficulties in life,” she said.
